The first Board of Directors meeting of The Universe For All Initiative (TUFA), held on February 19, 2022, was a milestone event that set the foundation for strong governance and strategic action. The meeting established key leadership roles unanimously, Denis Mungai as a founding Chairperson, Zainabu Mahenge as Vice Chairperson, and Nemes Temba as CEO – and created four essential committees: Executive, Nominating, Governance, and Public Relations, each tasked with driving focused organizational goals.

TUFA has achieved important early accomplishments, including successful registration, establishing bank accounts in both TZS and USD, securing office space and land, and collecting initial membership fees. Despite this progress, vital tasks such as fundraising, policy formulation, and finalizing land ownership and P.O. Box transfers remain priorities, with designated members leading follow-up actions.

At the core of TUFA’s mission is the transformative vision captured in its “Proof of Identity”: The Universe represents the collective potential and challenges; Red symbolizes hurdles awaiting conversion; Gold stands for the intrinsic value of individuals; and Dark Green epitomizes success and social welfare. This metaphor underlines TUFA’s commitment to converting challenges into opportunities for sustainable community impact.
